Context: In 2023, SberMegaMarket ran aggressive promotions with huge cashbacks. Tracking the best deals manually among 32,000+ items was unrealistic.
Solution: I wrote a parser in Python (BeautifulSoup + PostgreSQL) that automatically found items with maximum cashback and optimal price/discount ratio.
Mining Results:
- Yandex.Station 2 — bought for 7,000₽ in 2023 when the market price was 14-18,000₽. Sold in 2025 for 10,000₽. The purchase not only didn’t depreciate — it brought a profit.
- XD Design Bobby Hero Backpack — bought for 5,000₽ (market price 14,000₽). Have been using it for 3 years.
Conclusion: Automating routine saves not just time, but money. A script that took 2 hours to write → saved 20,000+ rubles.
